Wellbeing apps and digital tools
Digital tools include websites and apps that you can access digitally via a computer, smartphone or tablet. There is a huge range to choose from dependent on what sort of support you are looking for from tips and exercises to help you sleep to a digital diary to help you keep track of your asthma.
With the nation asked to stay at home and an increasing number self-isolating, digital health apps can help us better manage our physical and mental health from home. The more we can help keep ourselves healthy whilst staying at home, the more we can help protect the NHS for those who need it most.
The library is launching with a range of accredited apps particularly relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic supporting people to keep well during this difficult time. There are apps that can help manage anxiety, stress, sleep and general wellbeing, as well as apps to help people manage specific conditions such as their asthma or diabetes. More apps are being reviewed and will be added when ready.
The library’s COVID-19 labelling also highlights apps that are offering special offers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
