Responsive breastfeeding

Responsive breastfeeding

All babies are individuals and as a result have varying needs. Responsive breastfeeding means responding to your baby and offering them a breastfeed if they are hungry, needing comfort or needing closeness. Equally you may wish to offer a feed in response to your own comfort needs for example if your breasts are feeling full. It is never wrong to offer a breastfeed as breastfeeding is as much about nutrition as it is about closeness, comfort and building a loving relationship.
