Wexham Park Neonatal Unit

We are a Local Neonatal Unit (LNU) for babies born at 27 weeks gestation and above. We have facilities to care for up to 17 babies, with 2 intensive care, 3 high dependency and 12 special care cot spaces. Our unit is part of the Thames Valley and Wessex Neonatal Network.

Wexham Park Hospital Neonatal Unit is best approached via Entrance 4 of Wexham Park Hospital. The Unit is on the ground floor, adjacent to the Labour Ward.

Parents are welcome to phone us at any time about their baby, but information will only be given to parents. The direct number is: 0300 615 4533

If a baby requires more specialised care they may be transferred out to another unit in the region depending on their condition.

Hospital Parking

Parking facilities for patients and visitors are available in two car parks at the front of the hospital, accessed via gate 2 on Wexham Street, and one car park for maternity and day surgery patients accessed via gate 4 on Wexham Park Lane. A 'pay on foot' system operates for parking so you'll need to remember to take your parking ticket with you and pay before returning to your vehicle.

Pay machines are located:

  • Outside the main entrance
  • Outside and adjacent to the emergency department
  • Inside the maternity entrance

Payment can be made in cash or by card. A fixed penalty notice may be issued to any vehicle, if security staff believe that it is causing an obstruction.
