Skin to skin contact at any time and with either parents is good for calming and settling your baby, with the added benefit of supporting their brain development.
By responding early to your baby's needs you will avaoid them becoming distressed. It is not good to leave your baby to cry for long periods of time.
It is not possible to 'spoil' your baby by responding to their needs.
Exclusive brestfed babies can not be overfed. It is never wrong to offer the breast.
Feeding your baby is your opportunity to sit down, relax and get to know each other.
