Campaign launches to encourage parents and carers to sign up for free parenting courses
A radio and social media campaign developed by Frimley Health and Care launches this week to encourage parents, grandparents and carers to sign up for free, NHS backed online parenting courses for those caring for children from nought to teens.
The campaign will run until April 2021 on Greatest Hits Radio (Surrey & East Hampshire) and Facebook.
Bringing up children is a lot of fun but can also have its challenges and understanding your child's emotional development can be helpful
Frimley Health and Care have provided funding for a license for parents and carers living in the area including Ascot, Bracknell, Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and North East Hampshire and Farnham so they have free access to the courses.
The courses can be taken in English and community languages. There are also courses to help parents whose children have special educational needs.
Once you sign up you can log on whenever you have a spare half an hour to learn about topics relevant to your child and your family including;
- Understanding your pregnancy, labour, birth and your baby
- Understanding your baby
- Understanding your child 0 to 19 years
- Understanding your teenager’s brain
