Slough residents are urged to join the millions already vaccinated

To help protect residents from coronavirus, the local NHS is offering a pop-up vaccination service on Saturday 12 June 2021 at Salt Hill Vaccination Site for 1st doses, to those who are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine.

You must be a resident or work within Slough so please bring some form of ID which proves this, for example a utility bill or work ID pass.

The pop-up vaccination clinic will be vaccinating local residents with the Pfizer vaccine. This will be a walk-in service, with no pre-booked appointments.

If you’d like to use the pop-up walk-in facility, but already have a pre-booked Covid-19 vaccination appointment elsewhere, then you will need to cancel that appointment.

It is important to stress that the pop-up clinic will only be offering 1st doses of the vaccine.

Dr Nythia, Slough Primary Care Network Clinical Director, said: “We know that Slough has had ongoing transmission of the covid-19 virus and once again, there is an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in our local community. To make it as easy as possible for those eligible to get their covid-19 vaccination we are setting up a one-day walk-in vaccination service.

“Millions of people are already benefiting from protection from the virus by taking two doses of the vaccine and we have seen this contribute to dramatic falls in infections, hospitalisations and deaths. We also know that increasing the uptake of vaccine in communities can stop the local transmission of the coronavirus and keep entire neighbourhoods better protected.

“I urge those who live and work in Slough, who are eligible and haven’t had their 1st dose of the vaccine, to please just walk-in and get their Pfizer jab.”
