Care Homes & Nursing Homes

A new app has been launched specifically to support social care staff through the coronavirus pandemic.

The CARE app is available from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store and here: https://workforce.adultsocialcare.uk/, and is available to anyone working in social care in England.

It will act as a one-stop-shop for guidance, wellbeing support and advice to help staff to protect themselves from Covid-19 and to help keep themselves well. It also provides learning resources on areas such as infection control and practical advice on mental wellbeing.

The app links into offers and discounts available to social care staff and NHS workers and also connects to wellbeing toolkits and resources.

IAPT (also known as talking therapies)

Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services provide free evidenced-based psychological therapy for stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, panic, phobias, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to people aged 16 and over. These services can offer a range of therapies, depending on the problems you’re experiencing and how severe they are. IAPT services are available nationwide dependent on where you live and you do not need to see a GP to be referred.
