IAPT (also known as talking therapies)
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services provide free evidenced-based psychological therapy for stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, panic, phobias, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to people aged 16 and over. These services can offer a range of therapies, depending on the problems you’re experiencing and how severe they are. IAPT services are available nationwide dependent on where you live and you do not need to see a GP to be referred.

The NHS Wellbeing Support Line
A free wellbeing support helpline 0300 131 7000, operated by the Samaritans and available from 7am to 11pm seven days a week, providing confidential listening from trained professionals and specialist advice - including coaching, bereavement care, mental health and financial help.
NHS staff can call for support, signposting and confidential listening.
